I bought this to beef up my cats' kibble and they both love it! My eldest is a certified picky eater and she loves to eat this topper before anything else in her meal. Even a feral cat my bf and I tried to lure to check for a chip gobbled this up.
My 9 year old TT has a very sensitive tummy. Anything with chicken, pumpkin, and other ingredients gives him diarrhea. Just transitioned him to this and he has good poops and so much energy. He loves this food and the lamb topper with gravy. The fact that it is legume and corn free and grain inclusive make me very happy as well. Please don't ever discontinue this formula!!!!
I honestly can’t say enough about this food. I had been feeding canned Tiki Cat After Dark which I absolutely loved, but was extremely pricey for 3 cats. Then I took in a foster kitten, and they gave me Purina Healthy Kitten dry food for him. All of mine devoured his food and decided they wouldn’t eat anything else. They became sluggish, stopped playing, gained a bunch of weight, and their coats became much less shiny and not as soft. I thought their energy level was because they were getting older, but let me tell you- it wasn’t! After just a couple weeks on this food they’re playing like kittens again, their fur is sooo soft (I call my gray kitty my little chinchilla), shiny coats, and they’re losing weight! For comparison, I was feeding THREE CUPS of purina vs one and a half of this food. It’s super budget friendly, and they don’t poop nearly as much too. Before Tiki Cat I had tried about 8-9 different dry foods and couldn’t feed any of them because my older kitty would vomit. None of that here either. I’m kind of a nerd when it comes to ingredients in pet food and I’m really quite pleased with the list. I do wish there wasn’t any peas or tomato pomace, but that’s a small price to pay for the benefits, especially for the price!
I've been waiting to feed my rescue dog this food even before I got her. My 50lb dog is mostly pit bull terrier/ lab/ aussie shepherd mix and she has a sensitive stomach. She is thriving on this raw food and I couldn't be happier. Healthy skin and coat, healthy weight, good stool, and has more energy. Dogs thrive on a protein rich, low carb raw diet and instinct definitely provides that. No fillers or unnecessary ingredients, and doesn't heavily rely on synthetic vitamins and minerals. Its much more cost effective in frozen form. My dog eats fast and doesn't chew her food so i re-hydrate this with pork bone broth and mash it with a fork for her slow feeder/toy.
Got this brand for frozen raw food but wasn't in love with it. I see the raw pieces are similar to that- which is cool! The kibble itself is shaped flat and circular which I think is easier to eat for pickier pooches than round spherical kibbles. She actually ate this kibble without toppers, water, eggs, cheese, or handfeeding. This is a big deal in this house with my old lady. She's so picky so I doubt this will last forever, but certainly will continue rotating this type!
I have what I call my "bankruptcy " dog. She has had medical and allergy issues from when she was a puppy until now, 2.5 yrs old. In and out of vet, different meds and foods, diets, meal plans, ect. I didn't want to keep changing her food or giving her pills so much so I did tons of research and came across this brand...
Did my reading and listened to my own gut and purchased the salmon blend, just a small bag to start with, and recently bought the big bag.
Gypsy absolutely LOVES this food! Her eyes are brighter, she's running around, waaaaay more playful, acting silly and doing her usual unusual vocal sounds haha I could not be a happier owner! Even her rashes on the belly, itching, licking have subsided. She's just my happy Pup and I can't get enough.
Thank you Instinct for your food and having our furry friends well being in your hearts!!!
Been topping my dogs food with these for 6 months. I have a picky 10 month old Chinese Crested puppy. He won’t eat his food without these. These helped make transitioning from puppy food to adult kibble. I also use as a training treat. I think the ingredients really do work to keep his “gut” in check.
I was using Purina Pro Plan. I was unable to find Purina so I gave Instinct a try. I had used this product before. I asked the manager at Petco if my dog didn't like it if I would be able to bring the product back. He said yes with a receipt and the food. To my amazement my dog ate all of it and so far I have had to buy three bags. She loves this food. Grain free and being a healthy weight is great but this product also provides the vitamins and nutrients my dog needs.
We were recently adopted by the sweetest little stray cat. After I took her to the vet to have her scanned for a microchip and she didn't have one (yay!), we officially adopted her. Since she had been living by her wits and instincts for about two years (we were able to piece that much together), I thought she might enjoy something like this - something raw might appeal to her. Well, she LOVES it! It obviously does appeal to her "instincts", and I think any cat would like it. After all, they are furry little carnivores! I'm very glad I tried this product and will definitely try other products in this line!
My cat loves this stuff. I sprinkle a bit on top of her soft food and she manages to pick the individual kibbles and eat all of them first. It is a stand alone kibble product to replace other kibbles but my cat thinks she is getting a treat when I feed her these!
I have the most picky puppies when it comes to food and treats but they absolutely (love) this they always take it when I offer it. It also has clean ingredients!!!
We recently switched our dog to raw food after watching the YouTube video by Dr Grundy. He is a cardiologist but also loves his dogs. Our Sadie has never been more excited to eat! She loves this food. I mix it with a few blueberries and carrots.
I have used Instinct products for probably 8 years. Great quality & good price. Tried these patties because I wanted higher quality food than she had been eating when I adopted her. She is crazy about this. Jumps around as I am getting her food in her dish.
