You want to give targeted nutrition
I've been learning that kibbles are not very good/nutritious for dogs, but I cannot afford raw food nor home-made food delivery. So, to move to a more nutritious diet for my dog, I want to start with freeze-dried food and see if my picky eater Shiba Inu would like that kind. Now when I prepare his meal and open this pouch, my dog comes to the kitchen (He didn't do that before)! So, I believe he loves this mixer and enjoys eating them!
I have a 13 year old GSD that may be the most picky eater you can imagine. She was eating kibble her entire life and decided a few months ago she just didn't want to eat anymore. We switched to a different kibble and tried canned. We thought maybe she was just old and giving up. We ordered this food and oh my gosh! Game changer. She loves it. She gladly eats every day and licks the bowl shiny clean. We feel bad for not trying raw earlier. But so glad she's back to herself!
We have tried every food out there and even tried making food for our precious English Bulldog Duke Skywalker. He is allergic to everything. If he knows he is going to itch after he eats something he won't eat it. We have tried every prescription food out there too, he is allergic to those too. He was sick one day and had an inflamed esophagus, when he ate kibble he would choke a little bit so he would not eat. I went to the pet store and found Natural Instincts freeze dried raw meals, I reconstitute it with warm water. Duke loves it. He doesn't itch afterwards, yea! He used to let his food sit there until he was I would assume starving but now as soon as I make his food he walks up to his bowl and eats his food, Hallelujah!
